Quality Inspector
Vacancy: Quality Inspector
Vacancy Status: Full time / Permanent
Location: Sheffield
Do you have the eye for detail to ensure perfection in every product?
If so, we are looking for a Quality Inspector to join our operations team to conduct inspection of incoming goods, semi-finished and finished products. You will adhere to the business processes and meet the customer’s requirements.
There’s plenty to do in this role. You will be responsible for the inspection of all incoming goods in-line with standard drawings/specifications. You will inspect all manufactured goods, which includes checking the aesthetics, functionality, performance and dimensional requirements to detailed drawings. You will unload, check deliveries, and process delivery notes. You will identify components or products which do not conform with customers’ requirements and take appropriate steps to ensure corrective action is carried out before the goods are released. Plus, you’ll generate non-conformance reports to keep everyone in the loop about any issues, maintain records of all checks and create test certificates.
What about you? You will have experience in using a variety of measuring equipment and working in a fast paced and often demanding environment. You will have the skill to read engineering drawings, understand engineering terminology and have knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001. Experience of Microsoft packages would be advantageous and attention to detail is of paramount importance.

Are you an experienced TIG Welder/Fabricator Operative looking for a new opportunity?
If so, we have an exciting opportunity for a Welder/Fabricator to join our operations team.
What you’ll be doing …
- Welding stainless steel component parts together to produce assemblies to form products using TIG welding
- Fabricating simple and complex shaped products using various techniques
- Ensure all products manufactured meet the necessary requirements/standard
- Operating other tools such as buffing/polishing machines and off-hand grinders
- Use electronic scanning equipment and reporting tools
- Ensure the equipment is well maintained and safe
What about you …
- Previous experience of TIG welding
- Experience of fabricating simple and complex shapes
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Previous experience of welding filters, vessels or thin gauge steel would be advantageous
- Good level of academic achievement, or you may be qualified through experience
- Experience of working in a fast paced and often demanding environment
- It is important that you are a team player, but also able to work on your own initiative
