Overview - Alnico Rectangular Bar Magnet

Alnico Rectangular Bar Magnets / Alnico Rectangular Rod Magnet

The Alnico rectangular bar magnets are made from Alnico 2 and Alnico 5 grade materials. They are also known as Alnico rectangular rod magnets and Alnico bar magnets.

They can be used at temperatures of up to +1022°F (550°C). They are termed bar magnets because the distance between the poles is greater than the pole face dimensions (i.e. they are magnetized in the same direction as their longest dimension).

The Alnico rectangular bar magnets are supplied in painted (red colour) or natural finish (uncoated, unpainted). They are popular for sensing applications and for experimental use in schools.

We can supply Alnico rectangular bar magnets in other dimensions and grades as part of our custom magnet service - subject to quantities.
