SALES ENGINEER (FILTRATION)

ATLAS SITE / SHEFFIELD - WITH REGULAR TRAVEL

The Eclipse Magnetics Filtration Sales Team are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Engineer. This is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenges and opportunity to drive this area of Eclipse Magnetics. 

Reporting directly to the General Sales Manager, the Sales Engineer will be responsible for the growth of the Eclipse Magnetics patented range of magnetic filtration products to the Metal Cutting Industry within the UK and European markets. 

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing and supporting an assigned customer base, with the expectation of maintaining and increasing the volume of sales, through the use of technical knowledge, sales skills and ensuring that the full range of Filtration products are available within the current markets. Furthermore, success in this role will be achieved through identifying customer needs, generating new sales leads and maintaining effective internal and external relationships. 

In addition, the Sales Engineer will be accountable for monitoring and reporting on all sales activity, including trends and recommendations and providing weekly call plans and forecasts. The job-holder will also be required to maintain up to date knowledge of competitor activity, ensuring that findings are reported to the General Sales Manager. 

The successful applicant will have a formal engineering qualification and previous experience within the Filtration, Oil / Fluid or OEM industry, gained from working within a similar role. Experience managing a budget, KPI’s and strategy planning is essential, along with experience selling capital equipment to large end users and / or engineers in a technical manufacturing / process setting.

The ideal candidate will have good commercial / industrial knowledge and will be comfortable communicating with individuals at all levels. Applicants will be self-confident, self-motivated, results and target driven, with a passion for driving sales. The ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines with efficient time and workload management skills is essential. 

In addition, to be considered for this role candidates must be in possession of a valid full UK driving licence and will be comfortable with regular travel, both Nationally and Internationally, and periods working away from home.

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

The Eclipse Magnetics Operations Team are looking to recruit an experienced Design & Development Engineer; this is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge and opportunity in this area of Eclipse Magnetics. 

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Design & Development Engineer will play a key role in the Eclipse Magnetics Engineering Department in ensuring that the Company has a range of high quality, technically innovative and commercially competitive products to offer to the market as well as ensuring customer’s requirements are met in terms of design and requested delivery dates on bespoke products. 

On a day to day basis, the Design & Development Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new products; enhancing the existing product range; leading on special capital expenditure projects and providing estimated costs for new products and new designs. The role of Design & Development Engineer is varied and will include research, creating concepts and prototypes, testing and developing prototypes, estimating, making corrections and requested changes, as well as providing support to the production process. 

Candidates must be educated to degree / HNC level, with previous experience working in a similar role, within a demanding and pressured engineering environment. Computer literacy, with an excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks and the full Microsoft Office Suite is essential. 

The successful applicant must be committed, self-motivated and enthusiastic, with an excellent understanding of design and engineering manufacturing procedures, and experience working with metals and fabrications. In order to be considered for this role, candidates will be innovative and creative; have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and keen decision-making capabilities. Attention to detail and accuracy skills are essential. 

In addition to the above, applicants must be in possession of a valid full UK driving licence and comfortable with occasional travel and some overnight stays away from home.

INTERNAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Eclipse Magnetics are looking to recruit an experienced Internal Sales Representative to join their Sales Support Team. This is an exciting role offering the successful candidate great levels of variety, challenge and opportunity to drive this area of Eclipse Magnetics.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager and based from our Sheffield Office, the key objectives of the Internal Sales Representative role will include the provision of a dedicated sales support service to the respective sales team; delivering both key account sales support and offering a focal point for general sales enquiries; furthermore, ensuring the proactive application of internal sales processes in conjunction with field sales activity and the delivery of excellent internal sales administration at all times. 

Day-to-day the successful candidate will assist the overall smooth running of the sales operation in order to support the delivery of the UK sales team strategy. The post-holder will develop a deep understanding of customer needs; will maintain strong executive relationships with the assigned accounts; and will effectively call manage existent and prospective customers to ensure proactive management of accounts at all times. 

The Internal Sales Representative will support the Field Managers & Area Sales Managers in relation to account administration, sales support and price file management when required; whilst taking ownership of daily activities geared to maximising sales e.g. quote follow up and inactive account contact, including providing detailed and technical quotations to customers and managing quotations in the intranet quotation log; furthermore providing advice and assistance to customers in the most appropriate format to meet their needs, demonstrating proactivity and due attention to customer care, with a professional approach at all times.

To be considered for this role, applicants will have demonstrable experience gained from working within an engineering industry dealing with technical products. Experience working within in a fast-paced and often demanding sales environment, and within in similar internal sales role is essential.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate a high attention to detail with excellent levels of accuracy. Candidates must have first-class communication skills (verbal and written), with proven interpersonal and relationship management skills, the ability to plan and organise workload effectively, whilst working to tight deadlines and often changing work demands.

Excellent computer skills including the full Microsoft Office package, CRM systems and SAP experience is preferred.

In addition, to be considered for this role applicants must be in possession of a full driving licence and comfortable with travel and some overnight stays to support trade shows / events as and when required.
